Welcome to Orthodontics 101

Welcome to my blog about orthodontics. Taking care of people is what my job is all about. One of the things I like about my job the most is educating others on what is good and not so good about the world of orthodontics. Hopefully, this blog will help you become better educated on the world of orthodontics.

First, I like my patients to have the absolute best long term care possible for their teeth. That means I must utilize over 15 years of combined dental education, dental work (I was a general dentist before I was an orthodontist), and intuition to accomplish my work on patients. That also means I must be informed on over 1000 different orthodontic techniques, appliances, equipment, etc so my patients receive the best care.

Second, I think more like an engineer because I WAS an engineer. I received my BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Colorado, Boulder. When you break down what we do in orthodontics, it really should be called Biomechanical Engineering. Afterall, that is what we are doing as orthodontists; ENGINEERING!

Finally, when you get to know me you will find I am one of the most altruistic people on earth. I get my kicks and giggles in life by helping other people. Orthodontics is a very natural fit for me.

Check back to see what's going on!
